| Just flown out of Liverpool airport. They have an exhibition of photographs taken by Harry Goodwin. On a line featuring Muhammed Ali, Dennis Law, Kenny Dalglish and the England 1966 World Cup squad is our very own Jock Dodds. Nice photo collection if anyone is flying out of there soon. Jock is down towards gate 6 I think. | |

| My Dad has seen all the greats from Matthews, Morty, Armfield and reckons that Dodds was the best of the lot. I banged into Jock in the Saddle, he was drinking with Tracey Dawson and some others and I got in his company and told him that my Dad thought he was the best ever Pool player. His face lit up and his friends who were with him told me that would have meant the world to him. A true gent. | |

| As you can guess by my username, Jock was a big hero of mine. It was great to be in his company as he used to tell countless stories of his time at both Sheff Utd and the Pool Jock introduced me to the photographer Harry Goodwin at the Savoy Hotel at Gynn Square a few years ago. Harry told me that Jock was his favourite EVER player. My Dad's favourite player was the legendary Jimmy Hampson but he also told me that Morty and Jock were also his heroes too. If only we could discover another Jock, Morty or Hampson eh Up The Pool John | |

| When we were kids Jock used to jog round Watson Road park. Every now and again he would join us in a kick around (despite being nearly 80). My Dad saw him and told us what a legend he was and a great player (and a gentleman) to boot. Can't imagine why he would prefer Jock to his real name of Ephraim though... | |

| BS, this might surprise you but I'm not sure if I ever saw Jock Dodds play. I did go to BR during the war and he played then, but names didn't mean too miuch to me then. However, my Dad used to tell me about him and how fantastic he was. ![]() | |
