AVFTT started life as a fanzine in 1997 and in 2000 we were asked to join the Rivals Network of sites. We officially went live on August 8th 2000 as Blackpool started life in the Third Division. That month we recorded 40,000 page impressions, during May 2004 we passed one million page impressions for the first time and in 2007 we regularly had over 100,000 page impressions a day.
AVFTT had a regular 3,000 readers a day and enjoyed one of the busiest message boards of the Championship clubs. However, in December 2007, Rivals having been bought by Sky undertook the most disastrous re-launch of a website ever wiping out thousands of regular users. It was at that point that we joined FanOnline.net and we have practically regained that status in just a few months.
We set out to bring an accurate, irreverent and positive slant on Blackpool Football Club and have always supported the club throughout the years. We have many contributors who keep the site fresh and exciting and encourage as much reader interaction as possible from our weekly Fans_Eye_View to the Spread Betting League. We will keep readers updated with previews, reports, stats and tables throughout the season
AVFTT prides itself on regular updates throughout the year with accurate reporting, entertaining articles and all the news from Bloomfield Road. Our schedule is dependant on events on the Fylde Coast although we always supply the best coverage before and after matches and report on all the breaking news throughout the week
AVFTT is brought to you by a small but dedicated team whom can be contacted at the address below. If you would like to write for us, comment on our articles, suggest new ideas for the site or merely contact us, details can be found below. Drop us a line at mail@avftt.co.uk.
Another View from the Tower is an independent web site powered by Fansonline.net, which is produced for the supporters of Blackpool Football Club. The web site is in no way associated with the club and views expressed on this web site are those of the individual contributors and are not necessarily shared by AVFTT. All contributions are gratefully received, although we reserve the right to edit where applicable
