Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has given assurances that Alan Judge still has a future at Ewood Park, despite being sent out on a long term loan.
Judge went to Brentford in January until the end of the season after making just seven starts after signing a three and a half year deal with Rovers.
Judge is proving his worth while on loan at Griffin Park with the Bees, he has netted three times in 14 appearances. But although there is a very real chance of Brentford getting promotion, Bowyer will expect to see Judge back at Ewood at the end of the season.
He told reporters: “We know he cares about our club a lot, which is why we brought him back. Towards the beginning of the season he was in the team but then found himself out of it.
“He loves playing football and has a fantastic attitude. He came to see me and said ‘I want to play games’. I couldn’t guarantee him that.
“Brentford are a good football club with good people and are going the right way. We thought it was a good deal for everyone involved. I hope Brentford go up.
“The door isn’t closed. He signed a three-year contract with us, so we’ll see what happens. We anticipate him coming back at the end of the season.”
